About Capt. Tyler Brown
Capt. Tyler Brown grew up in Kerrville TX, hunting and fishing the rivers and creeks of the Hill County. He attended Texas A&M and began coaching basketball for several years. His time spent outdoors and on the water ultimately led him to fly fishing in 2014. Since then he’s fished all over the US, spent 3 seasons in Alaska guiding with a local outfitter, and made the move to the TX coast where you can find him sharing his passion for the craft back in his home state.
Tyler is calm, cool and direct. His goal is to get you on fish while exploring the unique salt marshes and coastal lakes in the surrounding area. He takes a respectful, leave no trace approach to the experience. He has a knack for meeting you at your skill level and can support where needed to create a successful day on the water.

I genuinely love fishing with Tyler. Being on the bow it always feels like there’s a chance something crazy is going to happen. Beyond the technical skills and the great fish vision, the level of prep he puts in to be successful and the degree to which he wants to see you get on fish typically makes for an awesome day on the water. The countless hours on the vise trying new fly patterns and on the water looking for productive redfish habitat give me a ton of confidence every time I jump on the boat. After a long day of sight casting at fish, it’s very easy to fall asleep in the client chair as well. If you’re looking to fish with someone on the Texas coast do yourself a solid and book time with Tyler.
